About Political Theory
The Political Theory research group focuses on theoretical and philosophical reflections on the great questions of our time. Our research is driven by the belief that the history of political ideas and contemporary political theory contain important insights that can provide alternative perspectives on the discussion of the political challenges we face today. Political Theory is inherently interdisciplinary and can therefore help bridge Political Science and other disciplines such as Philosophy, History, Sociology and Law. The Political Theory research group is characterized by representing a plurality of approaches to political theory, the history of political ideas and philosophy of science, but we all share the goal of making our research problem-driven and to relate abstract theorizing to important, real political challenges.
