Political Theory Seminar with Lasse Thomassen
On May 23rd Lasse Thomassen (Queen Mary, University of London) will present his paper Taking Repensentation Seriously: The Multitude vs The People at the department of political science.
Lasse Thomassen's research mainly focuses on debates within radical democratic theory and radical politics (autonomy vs hegemony, the indignados movements, Podemos, etc.); identity politics and the politics of inclusion, particularly in the context of the United Kingdom and Europe; and new approaches to the concept of representation.
Alongside Lasse Thomassen the departments own Benjamin Ask Popp-Madsen will present his paper Council Democracy Beyond Bureaucratic Domination: Rethinking Castoriadis' Project of Autonomy.
